Douglas Trumbower, President and CEO of Trade Eastern, Inc. has over 45 years of professional experience in the Architectural and Engineering profession. Upon graduation from Penn State University in 1966, he joined Smith, Miller and Associates in Kingston, PA, and served as Project Manger and Executive Vice President. While with Smith, Miler and Associates, Mr. Trumbower's projects included a 50 million dollar urban renewal program in Wilkes-Barre after the devasting 1972 flood. In 1977 he was also involved in the rehabilitation of the City of Johnstown and the City of Baltimore flood recovery projects.
In 1987, Mr. Trumbower purchased Trade Eastern, Inc., the Design-Build subsidiary of Smith, Miller and Associates. Trade Eastern has provided Design-Build Services for institutional, industrial, residential, educational and commercial projects totaling over 350 million dollars.
Currently Trade Eastern has 50+/- full time design and construction professional, a fleet of vehicles and a large inventory of construction equipment. Trade Eastern self performs most general construction functions including carpentry, steel fabrication, concrete work and provides custom millwork services thru its subsidiary Eastern Millwork, LTD.
